Wild Cat Experience

Join us on a 1 hour guided walking tour to visit the wild cats of Tenikwa, where you are guaranteed to see all the lesser cats of South Africa. From Leopard, Cheetah, Serval, Caracal, African Wildcats to the rare Black-footed Cat, this is a unique opportunity to get close to some amazing creatures.

Duration: 1 Hour
Daily Depature: Every ½ hour from 09h00. Last tour departs 16h30.
Rates / Adults: R150.00
Rates / Children 6 - 16 years: R70.00.      Toddlers under 6 years : No charge.

• Suitable for wheelchairs. Benches are provided along the way for resting.
• Suitable for all ages.

• Dress Code: We recommend long trousers and closed shoes. No fur, tassles or scarves.
• Children Policy:  In certain enclosures, parents may be requested to pick their young children up, or if the guide feels that the situation is unsafe, small children will need to remain outside a particular enclosure. There is pram access to each enclosure, but prams will have to be left outside the enclosure.

Sunrise Cheetah Walk

Join the Tenikwa Cheetahs on their daily exercise walks. This is a really unique opportunity to spend some quality time with an endangered creature, and an experience which will last a lifetime. Arrive at 07h15 and enjoy a cup of coffee at Chester's Tea Garden before tour departure. Walk with the Cheetahs from 07h30 – 09h00.  Thereafter coffee and muffins are served at Chester's Tea Garden.

Duration: 2 hours (07h30 - 9h30)
Daily Depature: 07h30

Children height restriction of 1.5m applies

• The terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs or people with chronic hip or knee injuries.
• Minimum 1.5m height restriction on all cheetah walk programs.
• Weather permitting. The walk will still take place in light rain.

• Stipulated refreshments included in the price of the program.

Sunset Cheetah Walk

Join the Tenikwa Cheetahs on their daily exercise walks. This is a really unique opportunity to spend some quality time with an endangered creature, and an experience which will last a lifetime. Please book in at 16h15. Walk with the Cheetahs from 16h30 to approximately 18h00.  Thereafter a complimentary glass of wine and snacks are served at Chester's Tea Garden.

Duration: 2 hours (16h30 - 18h30)

Photographic Tour

Tenikwa welcomes all amatuer and semi-professional photographers to join us for our Photographic Tours.  You will be able to go into the enclosures with a guide and photograph the beautiful cats to your heart's content.  Arrive at 07h15 and enjoy a cup of coffee at Chester's Tea Garden before tour departure. Photograph the cats from 07h30 – 09h00. ·Thereafter coffee and cake is served at Chester's Tea Garden.

The Crazee Cat Day

Cat Lovers beware, this program is designed especially for you to experience a day in the life of a cat at Tenikwa.  Book in early with a cup of coffee, and then join the cheetahs on their early morning Sunrise Cheetah Walk. Thereafter enjoy coffee and freshly baked muffins at Chesters Coffee Shop, before going out on the 1hr Wild Cat Experience.  After this, you get to spend time with the animal keepers carrying out their daily activities of grooming, animal enrichment, exercise and spending quality time with the cats. Lunch and a complimentary glass of wine is included.  After lunch, assist in the preparation of the afternoon feeding before going out on the Sunset Cheetah Walk to walk with the cheetahs through our beautiful natural vegetation. End a perfect day with a complimentary glass of wine and snacks as the sun goes down.
