Tenikwa hosts a conservation program which is aimed at grassroots level;  to work with the children of our communities to question accepted practices and customs, to raise awareness about habitat loss, the impact of environmentally insensitive farming practices and what each one of us can do to preserve our wildlife.

Tenikwa acknowledges that predators present a very real economic threat to farmers and that farmers have the right to protect their flocks. We encourage a shift away from Predator Management to Stock Management.  Move the focus away from eradicating predators and place the emphasis on protecting the flock.  With this paradigm shift in thinking, age old techniques, as well as new innovations, it can successfully result in less predation in an environmentally and ethical manner.
